Automated Demand Response (OpenADR)
Demand Response (DR) energy management program enables facilities to be collectivized for reducing HVAC load during periods of peak demand. To help achieve a greater reduction in energy consumption, the energy companies work with us to setback thermostats in order to reduce energy usage during high, or peak, times of the day.
The Pelican Web-App is "location" aware for Demand Response Programs. When a Utility makes a Demand Response Program available in a specific area we configure the Pelican Web-App with the correct information about the program and which geographic location that program is available. Once this is done, the OpenADR settings become visible on your Pelican Web-App.
If you have a specific program you are participating in, please let us know the details by emailing us at Email: support@pelicanwireless.com and we will coordinate with the Utility company to enable that option.
