Managing Standard Operating (Occupied/Unoccupied) Schedules
Each thermostat can be provided a schedule to run to your company’s operating and non-operating hours (occupied and unoccupied). You can create a “custom” schedule for individual thermostats or share schedules between multiple thermostats. In either case, the best place to schedule your thermostat is through the Schedule Dashboard on your Pelican Web-App.

How to Add a Schedule

- Go to the group that the thermostat is located under Manage Thermostat Schedules.
-
Select the thermostat that you would like to create a Custom schedule for by clicking the Edit button.
-

-
Select the Repeat schedule type. The available options are Daily, Weekday/Weekend or Weekly.
- Daily: Each day of the week will follow the same schedule.
- Weekly: Each day of the week will follow its own schedule, known as a 7-day schedule.
- Weekday/Weekend: From Monday to Friday the thermostats will follow one schedule. On Saturday and Sunday the thermostats will follow a different schedule, known as a 5-2 schedule.
- Select a “day” or “day range.”
- Select + New Set Time to add your first set time. A Set Time is a specific time during the day when the thermostat will change the active setting. Up to 12 unique set times can be set for each day of the week. The number of Set Times is controlled by adding and deleting Set Times for the day.
- Set a Start Time by clicking on the edit time clock button and use the slider bars to select the desired start and end times in hours (h) and minutes (m).
- (Recommended for the first Set Time of the day) If Optimum Start is turned On, the thermostat will calculate how to bring the space to the temperature settings at the time selected and start heating or cooling early enough to reach the target setting. If turned Off, the thermostat will be set to the selected temperature settings at the time selected.
- Under System, select Auto, Heat , Cool, or Off.
- If set to Auto, the system will follow the set Heat Setting and set Cool setting and follow the schedule as set for these settings.
- If set to Heat, the system will display only a Heat Setting and follow the schedule based on the set temperature.
- If set to Cool, the system will display only a Cool Setting and follow the schedule based on the set temperature.
- If set to Off, the system will be set to off and will not follow the schedule.
- The Fan setting may be set as On or Auto.
- Auto: The fan will be turned on when calling for heat or cool.
- On: The fan will run continuously.
- Select whether the Front Keypad of the thermostat should be set as Locked or Unlocked at this scheduled set time.
- Select Done to save the schedule.
- Select + New Set Time to add additional set times.
An example of a daily evening/night schedule would be if you have people working third-shift and would like to schedule when the shift’s start time begins and the end time, and to repeat this action daily.
You will need to enter two schedules: when the schedule turn on and when the schedule turns off. This is due to the change in day from 11:59 pm to 12:00 am the next day. Schedules do not cross over days.
