How to Establish Default Vacation Settings

Once the Default Vacation Settings are set, you only need to do this once. Within thermostat settings you will be able to set the vacation settings for each thermostat.

  1. Go to the Admin > Vacation Settings.
  2. Add holiday dates to the Vacation Calendar by clicking on the desired vacation date(s), which will be highlighted in blue.
  3. Then, select and create Default Vacation Settings to be used by your thermostats.
  4. Begin by selecting Edit Time to select the time you would like the vacation schedule to start.

  5. Next, select the System to Off, Cool, Heat or Auto based on your preference.

    1. If set to Auto, the system will follow the set Heat Setting and set Cool setting and follow the schedule as set for these settings.

    2. If set to Heat, the system will display only a Heat Setting and will follow the schedule based on the set temperature.

    3. If set to Cool, the system will display only a Cool Setting and will follow the schedule based on the set temperature.

    4. If set to Off, the system will be set to off and will not follow the schedule.

  6. The Fan setting may be set as On or Auto.

    1. Auto: The fan will be turned on when calling for heat or cool.

    2. On: The fan will run continuously.

  7. Select the Front Keypad as Locked or Unlocked for the thermostats that are to be set in vacation mode.

  8. You may add additional New Set Time(s) to the Default Vacation Settings. To do so, press the New Set Time button and follow the steps above.

    1. To delete a vacation set time, simply select the Delete button located on the bottom-left of the vacation schedule screen.

  9. Now, navigate back to the Pelican Web-App home menu, and select the group that the thermostat is located that you want to follow the Default Vacation Settings.
  10. Select Vacation Set Times > Default. The Default Vacation Settings will now be applied to that thermostat.

  11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for every thermostat you want the Default Vacation Settings to follow.

  12. If you change the Default Vacation Settings, you will need to copy it into each thermostat again.
Tip: If you change the Default Vacation Settings, you will need to copy it into each thermostat again.
Note: If there are thermostats that should not be switched to the Vacation Schedule leave their Vacation Schedule empty. For all other thermostats, copy the Default Vacation Settings or you can create a custom schedule for those select thermostats.
